The exact invention of sandwich where pressed some meat between two slice of bread possibly goes to John Montagu, the fourth Earl of Sandwich but it is still the subject of debate. A rumor in a contemporary travel book called Tour to London by Pierre Jean Grosley formed the popular myth that bread and meat sustained Lord Sandwich at the gambling table and this was generally served to the navy, to politics and the arts mean the first sandwich was more likely to have been consumed at his desk. However the fast-food giant McDonald’s has set its sights on his invention by filling patents in Europe and the US that claim the “method and apparatus for making a sandwich” as its intellectual property.
Patent application WO2006068865 relates to the “pre-assembly of sandwich components and preparation of different parts of the same sandwich” ( it only mentions generic sandwich making ‘tools,’ rather than any specific machine) . It covers the process for toasting of a bread component” and heating a “meat and/or cheese filling”. The company says they’ve invented a way to add garnishes and condiments using a “sandwich assembly tool”.
So until the patent is rejected don’t follow the same process because you will be charged for infringing the patent.

Atlantis Hotel celebrated its opening with grand lavish party on the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai last night, the celebration were having amazing assembly of star power and other VIP guest. Australian singer Kylie Minogue gave a special performance at the Atlantis Hotel launch party, among other participants was celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Charlize Theron, Mischa Barton, Natalie Imbruglia, Agyness Deyn. Runtriz is a Hotel web application which has been designed aiming to bring hotels gear up speed following a series of services, when a guest checks into the hotel, they’re asked if they have an iPhone or iPod Touch. If they do have, the hotel staff will load the Runtriz Hotel web application to the device. If they don’t, they’re given a 16gb iPod Touch to keep for the duration of their stay. The test runs at few LA hotels so called “Hotel Evolution” which can be seen at the Malibu Beach Inn in Malibu too.
Once you’ve check in your room you can punch the room number and security code, all of the hotel’s service offerings are just a click away through the device’s screen, you can order room service, set a wake up call, request your luggage, dry cleaning, or car request linens or toiletries, check your messages, or set your room to “Do Not Disturb”. The web application will also provide you detail information about nearby nightlife, attractions, and shopping.

The CityWall in Helsinki is going to launch a multi-touch interactive tourist information center where users can scroll through them to view pictures, videos, articles, discussions and maps. Much of the content deals with the relationship between Helsinki and nature and the views of landscape are controlled by human interaction.
As per CityWall Web site, the kiosk automatically downloads Flickr photos and videos tagged with ‘Helsinki,’ ‘CityWall’ or ‘cwhki.’ and the media can be viewed in its own separate location on the CityWall interface.
