The top 5 frying pans

Whether you use yours to cook up a full English breakfast, to do a little stir-fry or for an impromptu game of kitchen tennis , it is important to buy a quality frying pan. But how can you tell what’s a good pan; they all look the same don’t they? Maybe they do look similar but some are definitely better than others, so take a look at the following list and pick a perfect pan.

1) Tefal Preference

This non-stick, dishwasher-safe wonder is a great all rounder and would make a valuable addition to any kitchen without a decent frying pan. It also has an ingenious heat sensor which tells you when the pan is at the ideal temperature to throw your ingredients in.

2) SKK Series 5

At 28 cm this pan is capacious enough for you to cook a good sized meal in it, and it has a removable handle. We’re not sure exactly why but there has to be a very good reason for it.

3) Purple

If Prince had a frying pan dedicated to him this would be the one. The Purple is – as you might have guessed – purple, and it is a lightweight, 24 cm pan so ideal for the pint-sized pop star.

4) Eurohike

This may not be a beautiful pan but it is certainly useful, and perfect if you are heading off hiking or to a festival. It has a lightweight body and a foldable handle so it can be packed away and carried without it jabbing you in the ribs as you walk.

5) Mauviel

The Mauviel is a stylish, shimmering, refulgent piece of cookware which is adored by lucky home cooks and professional chefs throughout the world. If you want to really treat yourself to a pan which does everything but serve your meal with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc, this is the one.
